Makeover Monday...Atoms for Peace Cover Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart
The sound and video quality aren't all that fantastic, but Thom Yorke of Radiohead fame (you've heard of Radiohead...I know you have) and his new band, Atoms of Peace, put their stamp on Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart", and it seemed a good fit for this edition of Makeover Monday. Enjoy!
I have so many video games that I haven't played or havent spent enough time on, they just keep piling up. Something new that I'm interested in comes out every few weeks and I just keep on buying them, very rarely finishing them during the first month that I have it. Well, this weekend, I'm playing 'em, and I'm finishing 'em! Well, at least I'll be heading in that direction. Here are a few games that I have in mind for this weekend's mega gaming marathon...
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey (DS)
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey is a first-person role playing game that pits you against hordes of demons that can be recruited to your side, leveled up, and fused with each other to produce even more powerful creatures. You are a soldier sent to investigate a strange black void in Antarctica that is expanding and destroying everything in its path. Inside the void, you're battling demons and unraveling the mystery behind the anomaly. It's a sci-fi dungeon crawler that's incredibly addictive and I've enjoyed it quite a bit. I haven't played it in a few weeks, so now it's time to get back to it.
Batman: Arkham Asylum (Xbox 360)
This is a game I haven't spent much time on at all, and it's a shame because it's really good. You, as Batman, are trapped in the titular mental hospital and forced to take on a great deal of the Dark Knight's enemies, including the Joker, the Riddler, Harley Quinn, and various others. The whole asylum has been taken over, so you basically have to sneak around take the bad guys out from the shadows. There's plenty of fighting, puzzles, and detective work to be done in the game, and I haven't done enough, so I'm getting back to it.
Street Fighter IV (Xbox 360)
Of course, everyone knows I love SFIV, and I've talked about it on here before, so I won't go into detail about what the game is about because it's obvious. Plus, the game has been out for over a year, and it's getting an upgrade by the name of Super Street Fighter IV on April 27. Well, up until now, I hadn't unlocked all the characters or gained all the Achievements that I wanted. I unlocked all the guys last night, so now all that's left is to get the Achievement points that I can actually attain. It probably won't take too long, which is good, because I can move on to another game afterward. Here's the trailer for SSFIV.
