The "Winter" Chronicles - Winterkids

Though they have recently changed their name to Flight of Kites, I am seeking out songs and video from the time when this quintet from Peaslake in Surrey, England were known by the moniker, Winterkids. It better suits my "winter" theme to go with the old name anyway!



Named one of the ten most promising British musical acts of 2007, the band plays bubbly, danceable pop with a bit of an edge. The music incorporates a lot of organ and keyboards which give it an orchestral undertone which adds a bit of heft to the bubble gummy boy/girl dual vocals.



I hope you enjoy this installment of the Winter Chronicles, and hopefully we'll see some warm weather heading our way soon. If not, we'll at least have great music to keep us warm!
